Byron Bowers, DVM, holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Piano Performance and German. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 2012. As a Bay Area native, he was eager to return home to complete a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at East Bay Veterinary Specialists and Emergency in 2013. Dr. Bowers has been providing top-notch veterinary care in the Bay Area since 2014 and is excited to call Lafayette Animal Hospital his new home!

His professional interests include general practice, emergency medicine, and surgery. He is a member of the CCVMA, CVMA, and the AVMA.

Dr. Bowers enjoys outdoor activities, including camping, flying, and gardening. He and his wife Sarah live in Lafayette with their new daughter, Audrey, and their cat, Lucy.
